Stacom Family tops honor roll at annual REBNY gala

For the first time ever, the Real Estate Board of New York will honor an entire family for its contribution to the city’s real estate industry.

REBNY chairman Rob Speyer announced yesterday (Tuesday) that the late Matthew Stacom and his daughters Tara Stacom and Darcy Stacom will receive The Bernard H. Mendik Lifetime Leadership in Real Estate Award at the 120th Annual Banquet in January.

“The Stacoms are true industry legends whose collective contributions are worthy of this unprecedented recognition by REBNY,” said Speyer.

“We look forward to gathering with all of our colleagues at our 120th annual banquet to celebrate the achievements of the real estate community and toast the vibrant real estate market.ˮ

Amidst the celebration, Speyer said the event would also recognize John Zuccotti, a former REBNY chairman whom he described as “one of New York’s greatest civic leaders,” who died last week at the age of 87.
