Simone delivers new Mount Sinai medical center

Simone Development Companies has celebrated the grand opening of a new state-of-the-art 100,000 s/f health complex for Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island at 5 Cuba Hill Road in Greenlawn, NY.

Simone Healthcare Development was responsible for the acquisition and development of the facility, transforming the building into the new, ambulatory care center.

Defense contractor BAE Systems sold 18 acres of its Greenlawn property to the Bronx-based developer in 2015. At the time, Simone Development leased the 200,000 s/f, four-building complex back to BAE for varying lengths of time.

A nearly nine-acre portion with two existing buildings was subsequently redeveloped for medical use for the Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island (formerly North Shore Medical Group), which is part of the Mount Sinai Health System.

“Simone Healthcare Development is proud to once again have worked with Mount Sinai to provide a new home for their expanding medical services on Long Island and throughout the tri-state region,” said Guy Leibler, president of Simone Healthcare Development.

“Our company is dedicated to working with leading healthcare providers on all aspects of site selection, acquisition and development so that they may concentrate on delivering the best medical care possible.” With a team of skilled physicians and services that include primary care, cancer and hematology, along with a comprehensive Women’s Center, Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island’s physicians, nurses and medical staff will provide services in 20 specialties ranging from allergy to urology.

“Residents of Long Island deserve high-quality, convenient care close to home and Mount Sinai is meeting that need,” said Kenneth L. Davis, President and CEO of Mount Sinai Health System. “With an expanded primary and specialty care network and a Long Island footprint that includes 200 physicians and other experts at 11 multidisciplinary practices, Mount Sinai is transforming care in this community.”

The new offices offer onsite radiology and lab services.
