SCG Retail announced the signing of a 750 s/f store at 265 Lafayette, between Prince and Spring, at the crossroads of SoHo and NoLita for the French Jewelry retailer, Aurelie Bidermann.

David Firestein and Brad Cohen of SCG Retail represented the land-lord, Lafayette St. Realty. According to Cohen, “Our goal was to find a great tenant for Lafayette that could thrive in the location. Fashion and accessories stores were one of our target categories for the space and Aurelie Bidermann has a great reputation.”
Bidermann jewelry and accessories have been available through stores like Barneys and Jefferies, but this marks their first NYC retail store. The lease was signed last week and the store will open sometime in early 2014.
“Bidermann will do great there,” said Firestein, “Lafayette turned upward for retail when REI opened at Lafayette and Houston. We’ve got several other deals percolating in this part of the city that will break early next year.”
“There’s lots of interesting retail, bars and food options cropping up in this area,” adds Cohen. “Sant Ambroeus is opening this week in the adjacent space. They’re a great Italian eatery with locations on Madison and in the Hamptons.”
“David and Brad helped us reposition our retail in the building,” says Brian Teppel of Gilman Management. “We are very pleased with this direction and the quality of our new tenants.”
The tenant, Aurelie Bidermann, was represented by Kyle Allen and Dan Harroch of Thor High Street Advisors.
