The sales and leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, Joseph Aquino, executive vice president, and Arthur Maglio of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group has been awarded the exclusive agency for 582-586 East 187th Street.
The site comprises two vacant stores, which may be leased individually or combined, and the sale of the eight-story, multi-use building in which they are located.
The highly trafficked corridor between Arthur Avenue and Hoffman Street is in the Belmont/Little Italy section of the Bronx, close to Fordham University, St. Barnabas Hospital, the Bronx Zoo and, coming soon, the second location of historic pizzeria, John’s of Bleecker Street.
“This block is perfectly poised for fashion, beauty or services,” said Consolo. “Not only does it have a vibrant street life, it is literally around the corner from the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, with its wonderful Italian specialty food shops and popular Bronx Beer Hall.”

The previous retail tenant at 582-586 East 187th Street, B&G Clothes, occupied both stores for more than 35 years, comprising a 2,040 s/f ground level space with basement and approximately 35 feet of frontage; and a 740 s/f ground level space with basement and approximately 15 feet of frontage.
In addition to a full complement of services, banks, entertainment, schools and more, neighboring attractions include Yankee Stadium, Ciccarone Park and The New York Botanical Garden.
