The website has been launched for the 6th Annual Real Estate Weekly Women’s Forum taking place June 14.
One of the most anticipated industry events of the year, the 2017 Womenʼs Forum explores the theme Embracing Change and speakers will explore the impact of national and international political and economic change on the real estate markets.
Alicia Glen, considered one of New York’s most powerful women, will keynote the event. With developments such as the revitalization of Midtown East, new mixed-use and mixed-income projects in the boroughs, and a new innovation hub on Governors Island, Glen said, “I look forward to sharing more on where New York City is headed and how we can all work together to keep the city growing and thriving.”
A former banker who worked at Goldman Sachs, Glen spent an early part of her career working in the Rudy Giuliani Administration. Before that, she was a real estate associate and an attorney at Brooklyn Legal Services.
Real Estate Weekly and its event parters — EisnerAmper and CREW-NY — have assembled an impressive roster of highly respected real estate women to take part in the June forum.
Raizy Haas, senior vice president of development at Extell Development Company, will take part in a Neighborhood Changes panel focused on examining the evolving New York City skyline and the implications of new development on local neighborhoods.
Investment sales doyenne Helen Hwang will discuss financial and economic trends in a Global Changes panel. A senior executive managing director at Meridian Investment Sales, Hwang has executed of 70 institutional sales and recapitalization transactions exceeding $25 billion during her career.
Policital Changes will be the focus of a third panel that will include former New York State housing finance chief, now managing director with JP Morgan Chase, Priscilla Almodovar.
Other speakers lined up to participate in the 2017 Women’s Forum include Jane Weng, director of Capital Markets and Investment with Greenland USA; Marcella Fasulo, senior managing director, Cushman & Wakefield and; Alison Berman, manager and General Counsel of Greystone EB-5 Holdings Corp.
The 2017 Women’s Forum will take place at the New York City Bar Association, 42 West 44th Street, from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14.
