The William Kaufman Organization (WKO) announced that Kobalt Music, an independent music services company, has signed a lease for 23,000 s/f at 2 Gansevoort Street, a nine-story, landmarked office property in the Meatpacking District.
Kobalt’s new lease encompasses the entire 6th floor of the property, which is situated at the intersection of West 13th, Horatio and Gansevoort Streets in the Greenwich Village Historic District.
The firm, which represents many of the world’s top artists, publishers and songwriters, is relocating from 220 West 42nd Street in Midtown.
Kobalt will benefit from a number of new amenities and capital improvements recently completed at the building. Renovations include a new lobby, front entrance designed by Fogarty Finger Architects.
Other renovation projects include a new security desk; new elevator mechanical modernization and an aesthetic elevator cab restoration; and a full building window replacement, new HVAC.

Kobalt was represente by Greg B. Taubin and Scott Bogetti of Savills Studley, while Lenchner, represented building ownership in-house.
