Retailer Totokaelo opening at 190 Bowery

RFR announced a three-floor, 8,918 s/f lease agreement with Totokaelo, a fine fashion and objects retailer, at 190 Bowery.

Totokaelo is a business subsidiary of Herschel Capital Corp., the Vancouver-based owner of accessories brand Herschel Supply Co.

Jordan S. Claffey, executive vice president of RFR Retail, represented the landlord in the lease. Brandon Singer and Michael Cody of Cushman & Wakefield also represented RFR as leasing agents for the  six-story, 38,000 s/f newly renovated, landmarked office and retail property.

Michael Yadgard of Maxwelle NY acted on behalf of the tenant, which signed on for the space at 190 Bowery through early 2018. RFR continues to seek long-term tenants for 190 Bowery.

“Totokaelo is a young-luxury retailer with an incredible product mix, aesthetic and mission,” said Mr. Claffey. “We welcome Totokaelo to 190 Broadway, an iconic building and an architectural crown jewel that continues to attract a variety of tenants.”

“The RFR/Cushman & Wakefield team is pleased to welcome Totokaelo to the Bowery’s retail renaissance,” Singer said. “We anticipate that the synergy between Totokaelo’s innovative products and 190 Bowery’s unique and architecturally significant space will create an unforgettable retail experience for shoppers.”
