Mesa West provides debt

Mesa West Capital has provided a private equity joint venture led by Orlando-based CNL Commercial Real Estate, Inc. and Long Wharf Real Estate Partners with $38.2 million in short-term first mortgage debt to refinance the 239,373 s/f Sawgrass Lakes Center in Sunrise, FL.

Built in 2001 by The Opus Group, the six-story LEED-certified building is 85 percent leased by credit tenants, according to Mesa West’s Daniel Tanner, who originated the loan out of the firm’s New York office.

Mesa West originated the non-recourse loan out of its Mesa West Real Estate Income Fund III. The financing was arranged by the Miami office of HFF led by Paul Stasaitis.
