Living New York Retained as Exclusive Leasing and Marketing Agent for Harlem Rental New Development Project

Living New York, www.livingny.com, a full-service, luxury real estate brokerage based in Manhattan has been awarded the exclusive leasing and marketing commission for 521 West 134th Street, an eight-story, 28-unit rental new multi-family property. Haussmann Development, an active developer in Harlem, purchased the site in May 2021 and broke ground in spring 2022.

Located a few blocks from Columbia’s new Manhatanville campus, the project is expected to open to tenants in summer 2023.

This project will encompass 22,000 gross square feet. Designed by ND Kazalas, the property will feature 25 one-bedroom-units and 3 two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 513 square feet to 1000 square feet.

The apartment features include: condo-grade finishes, and in-unit washer dryers and dishwashers.

The building features include:  a virtual doorman, bike storage, packing area, private terraces and landscaping, as well as communal outdoor space.

“We chose Living New York to represent this project because of the firm’s experience with ground-up construction in Harlem and its focus on pre-development advisory,” says Josef Goodman, principal at Haussmann Development. “Living is an integral part of the development team – they’ve guided us through the selection of finishes, unit mix, and layouts. I’m confident they’ll lease the entire building before the summer’s end.”

“Harlem continues to be a focal point for our New Construction Leasing Platform and with developers delivering high-end rental product, we are confident the area will continue to grow and evolve,” explains Adrian Savino, managing director, Living New York.

Haussmann has developed projects at 2750/2754 Frederick Douglas Blvd.

Living New York projects include work alongside Greystone at 69 East 125th (Harlem 125), Danforth at 230 West 126th (Victoria Towers), and Acuity Partners at 340 East 117th (East River Lofts).
