Levin Management looking to update Commons at Hooper retail offerings

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) has been named exclusive leasing and managing agent for Commons at Hooper, a 120,350 s/f community shopping center in Toms River.

Located at 1350 Hooper Ave., Commons at Hooper is anchored by Michaels and DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, and complemented by a strong mix of retail, restaurant and service tenants including Dollar Tree, Mattress Firm, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Dress Barn and Jersey Mike’s, among others.

The Ocean County center boasts a daily traffic count of more than 41,000 vehicles and serves a growing residential population of more than 161,000 people within a five-mile radius.

LMC will focus on revitalizing the buildings and common areas at Commons at Hooper, according to Robert Carson, executive vice president.

“Well-located along the desirable Hooper Avenue retail corridor, Commons at Hooper is a great addition to our growing portfolio,” he said. “We look forward to bringing our expertise in the areas of leasing, property management and construction management to this key assignment on behalf of the shopping center’s new ownership.”

That will begin by leveraging the value-added nature of the asset. “Our plan involves updating this property and generally making it a more attractive shopping environment,” said Carson. “Commons at Hooper already is home to strong tenants, and our leasing efforts will build upon that by rounding out the mix with additional diversified, high-quality retailers and services.”

LMC Leasing Representative Jordan Korris is heading the leasing effort.

The assignment reflects stepped-up demand for LMC’s third-party retail real estate services. In recent months, the firm has been awarded leasing and/or management agencies in New Jersey’s Delran, Freehold, Flemington, Hackettstown, Secaucus, Union and Madison, as well as in Westbrook, Conn
