Superstar Lenny Kravitz has been tapped as interior designer for DHA Capital’s high profile 75 Kenmare luxury condo.
Kravitz Design, founded by the international music icon , will lead interior design of the ground-up, new construction condominium – its first New York condo project.
“My vision for 75 Kenmare centers on a layered environment, drawing inspiration from the eccentric Downtown vibe while integrating elegant materials, such as unique natural stones, bonded metal and aged oak,” said Kravitz. “Nolita has a style, rhythm and culture all its own, and we’ve created an environment that feels contemporary and refined, but also warm and inviting.”
Once complete, the building will house a limited collection of 35 one- to four-bedroom homes ranging in price from approximately $1.7 million to over $12 million. Andre Kikoski, renowned architect and winner of the AIA Institute Honor Award for his work at the Guggenheim Museum, is the executive architect and is leading exterior design of the project.
“NoHo and NoLita are the two neighborhoods that officially appreciated the most in all of Manhattan for 2015,” said Fredrik Eklund, who will be leading sales at the building. “This is where everyone wants to be.”
DHA Capital, along with partners AMS Acquisitions and First Atlantic Real Estate, first acquired 75 Kenmare in June 2015 and purchased the property with an existing parking garage on the site.
This is the tenth project for DHA Capital, which was founded by Dan Hollander and Josh Schuster in 2011. DHA Capital’s other current projects include 50 Clinton, a boutique condominium located in the heart of Lower East Side, the conversion of 12 East 13th Street in Greenwich Village into a luxury condominium building with eight expansive residences as well as a 280-unit luxury rental development at 535 West 43rd Street in Hell’s Kitchen.
Construction is expected to begin in April 2016.
