Lee & Associates South Florida Represents GALBI Steakhouse & Sushi in Lease for its First Florida Location

Lee & Associates South Florida just brokered a deal that facilitates the Florida debut of an exciting restaurant concept. Firm Senior Vice President Matthew Katzen represented GALBI Steakhouse & Sushi in a new lease at Hyde Beach House in Hollywood.

The new-to-market GALBI plans to open its first location outside of Connecticut on the ground floor of Hyde Beach House at 4010 S. Ocean Drive. The 10-year, triple-net (NNN) lease is for a 3,300-square-foot space in the building. GALBI is targeting a summer 2024 opening date.

Katzen is advising GALBI in its search for additional locations within South Florida.

“GALBI fills a void for high-quality Korean cuisine in the Hollywood area,” Katzen said. “It offers a truly authentic dining experience that will be extremely well-received. We continue to see intense demand from Northeast U.S. restaurant operators seeking to expand to South Florida.”

Korean barbecue refers to the popular method in Korean cuisine of grilling meat, typically beef, pork or chicken. These dishes are often prepared on gas or charcoal grills built into the dining table itself. GALBI’s original location in Connecticut also offers an extensive menu of appetizers, sushi rolls, salads and poke bowls.

The Hyde Beach House space includes a waterfront component with boat dockage. That positions GALBI to cater to hotel guests, condominium residents, boaters and other patrons.

“We applaud Matthew Katzen on successfully representing GALBI Korean Steakhouse & Sushi in its expansion into South Florida,” Lee & Associates South Florida President Matthew Rotolante said. “With restaurant space at a premium in our market, Matthew leveraged his relationships, market knowledge and Lee & Associates’ unmatched platform to produce an exceptional outcome for his client.”

Ovy Anghel of APEX Capital Realty represented the landlord in the GALBI transaction.
