Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, executive vice president of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group are continuing to reposition the block front encompassing 410 Columbus Avenue with a just-signed lease for fashion designer Boyoung Kim.
It will be the first dedicated boutique for the designer and manufacturer, whose downtown style of women’s apparel and accessories are often compared to her mentor’s, Alexander Wang.
Kim is the second designer the team has brought to the building following the lease they arranged earlier this year in the adjacent space for celebrity jeweler Alexis Bittar.

“Boyoung Kim’s work has a distinct sophistication that is right for today’s Upper West Side shoppers,” said Consolo. “Her simple and elegant designs are a perfect complement to the co-tenant’s unique jewelry creations.”Added Aquino, “This level of fashion hearkens back to the Columbus Avenue of the 1980s when cutting-edge designers defined the corridor. We hope to continue bringing that creative energy back and reach a new level of shoppers here.”
Consolo and Aquino exclusively represent the landlord, Orleans Realty, LLC, for the demi block-front, which encompasses five contiguous stores between 78th and 79th Streets, located directly across from the American Museum of Natural History and Theodore Roosevelt Park. Russell Futterman of Focus Real Estate Group represented the tenant in the 10-year lease.
Neighboring retailers include Mint, Only Hearts, Pookie & Sebastian, Liana, Really Great Things, Eileen Fisher, Malia Mills and Olive & Bette’s.
