Italian home furnishings company leases 10,000 s/f at Madison Avenue

Elliot Klein of EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global, has negotiated a lease for Poliform USA, a luxury home furnishings brand, for a showroom and store at 112 Madison Avenue.

The space comprises more than 10,000 s/f on the ground floor, mezzanine and basement.

According to Klein, Poliform was impressed with the space’s street-level presence, high ceilings and corner location. “It was one of the best opportunities on Madison Avenue,” he said.

Poliform has been a leading Italian manufacturer of luxury furniture, kitchens and closets since 1970.  The company established Poliform USA in NYC in 1995 and since opened corporate showrooms in other major cities, including Miami, Los Angeles and Chicago.

The company already occupies a 16,000 s/f showroom at 150 East 58th Street.  Possession of the new showroom begins on November 1, and the anticipated opening date is sometime in June of 2016. The lease term is 15 years.

“Retail has always been an area of expertise for us, but the practice has been growing rapidly of late,” said Dana L. Moskowitz, president of EVO. “Poliform exemplifies the sort of brand we represent today on the tenant side.”

Jeffrey Smith of Samco Properties represented the landlord in the lease transaction with Poliform.
