On Wednesday, April 25, Prudential Douglas Elliman and DE Capital held a “Buying Savvy in Manhattan” seminar at The Whippoorwill Country Club, in Armonk, NY, featuring a panel of real estate and mortgage experts. The seminar was designed especially for Elliman’s Westchester customers who have increasingly shown interest in selling their homes and moving to Manhattan or purchasing a NYC pied-a-terre.
The panel of professionals included PDE brokers from Manhattan and Westchester, real estate Attorney Jerry Feeney and mortgage banker Jan Scheck from DE Capital. Topics included hot areas in Manhattan: Value and Making the Smart Investment; What the Selling Agent Doesn’t Want You to Know; Condo, Co-op or Condop: Making the Right Choice; Understanding Property Characteristics; Cost of Ownership/Benefits: Buy vs. Rent; and Tax Implications.
