Katherine Gale, great granddaughter of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty founder Daniel Gale, has joined the organization’s Cold Spring Harbor, New York sales office. She joins one of the nation’s leading realtors as a licensed salesperson.
“We are so pleased that Katie has chosen to join Daniel Gale Sotheby’s and hope that she will have an enjoyable and rewarding experience,” said Kent Gale, Katherine’s grandfather and the family patriarch, who ran the organization from the 1950s until 1990.
Kent and his wife Jean were early influences and remain as mentors to their granddaughter. Katherine’s father is international real estate developer Stan Gale, the chairman and managing partner of Gale International, an integrated real estate development company.
Accomplished in her own right, Katherine has been actively involved in her family’s numerous enterprises. She has played a significant role in the marketing and promotion of Songdo International Business District, a $35 billion city-scale development rising on the western coast of the Korean peninsula. Currently 40% complete and with a completion date slated for 2016, Songdo IBD is touted as one of the world’s first sustainable, connected, smart cities.
Katherine has also enjoyed success as a licensed sales associate at Nest Seekers International, based in New York City.
She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. During her time in Florida she also oversaw the opening and management of a luxury boutique hotel in Delray Beach.
