Douglas Elliman is expanding their network in South Florida.
Elliman is set to open a new office in Boca Raton on 444 East Palmetto Park Road in the center of the shopping district near Mizner Plaza.
The grand opening comes just after the firm acquired Palm Beach brokerage Martha A. Gottfried, a staple in that community for more than 35 years.
Vanessa Grout, who oversees Elliman’s Florida operation consisting of eight South Florida offices and approximately 180 agents, is the broker of record for the company. The office is already doing business out of Gottfried’s former Palm Beach headquarters in Poinciana Plaza.
“The expansion into Boca Raton and Palm Beach is a great accomplishment for the Elliman brand,” said Douglas Elliman president and CEO Dottie Herman.

“The New York and South Florida markets have a natural synergy. We are thrilled to have come so far, and we intend to keep growing.”
To develop the relationship between Elliman’s New York and South Florida markets, Herman and Grout are inviting several top producers for a company retreat at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach in June.
According to Grout, the weekend is about rewarding hard work while discussing new brand opportunities for Elliman.
“Our strategic growth as a firm is really amazing,” said Grout. “Through our vast network of agents on both ends of the East Coast, we’re able to service our clientele on a whole new level. Both New York and South Florida are top markets for foreign buyers. It’s exciting to see Elliman progress with such success.”
In addition to their physical expansion, Douglas Elliman has been recruiting top talent from other big South Florida brokerage firms.
Tim Elmes and his team, formerly Coldwell Banker’s #1 team, are now anchoring Elliman’s Fort Lauderdale office where they handle all high-end waterfront homes. Senada Adzem, formerly of Corcoran, will be instrumental in the growth at the new Boca Raton office.
Douglas Elliman opened its first Florida office in 2010 in Miami Beach and has since added offices in Miami, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale.
