DONE DEALS: Condo makeover leads to sale

When his Italian client tapped Andrea Pedicini to sell the two-bedroom condo heʼd been renting out for years, the Citi Habitats agent knew a make-over was in order.

“I advised my seller that the remodel was necessary to make the home stand out in a crowded marketplace,” Pedicini explained. “I have always been into design and I knew I could turn the space into something spectacular.”

With a $140,000 budget, Pedicini turned #3 at 153 Bowery into a chic apartment and sold it to a medical executive for $2.525 million within six months.

He swapped ‘90s-era fixtures and finishes with an ultra-modern open kitchen, created a lofty living area with beamed ceilings, a built-in wine cooler and bar, and a fresh master bedroom that leads to a 500 s/f terrace.

“I designed the space and picked all the materials myself,” said Pedicini. “Most of the materials we used, including all the appliances, were from Italy.”

Liz Goldman and Denae Montesi, of William Raveis Real Estate, represented the buyer, who scored the apartment for just under the $2.65 million ask.
