David Weekley Homes to launch construction at Ellis in Marietta

After first debuting to Cobb County homebuyers nearly five years ago, Marietta’s sprawling single-family home community of Ellis is about to welcome an award-winning home builder to lead construction on its Phase Three homesites. On the heels of being named Builder of the Year by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, David Weekley Homes is proud to announce that it will soon launch construction at Ellis. With seven two-story floor plans from which to choose situated on 85-foot homesites, David Weekley Homes is pleased to bring its special brand of Design, Choice and Service to the established Cobb County community. Having developed hundreds of its own communities in the 19 cities where it has a presence across the U.S., David Weekley Homes will also helm the realization of an alluring amenity package at the scenic community set in Northeast Metro Atlanta at the edge of the picturesque 2,965-acre Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

“In addition to sourcing land and developing our own communities since 1976, David Weekley Homes has witnessed incredible success bringing our award-winning homes to established master-planned communities everywhere from Austin, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia,” said Adam Cornett, Atlanta Division President for David Weekley Homes. “Just last year, we brought homes from our Encore Active Adult division to a gated section of Sterling on the Lake in Hall County – which has proven a huge hit with 55+ homebuyers. With a company-wide purpose of building dreams and enhancing lives for our homeowners, we always endeavor to make our mark with the creation of stunning homes and the delivery of a memorable home buying experience. That said, we also carefully design our elevations to flow seamlessly with the original vision for any existing communities where we build. And it’s a really wonderful vision at Ellis, one founded in the timelessness of Southern graciousness. The builders before us have created a beautiful backdrop within the community and we want our homes to stand out, not stick out.”

However, Cornett added, that sentiment will not apply to David Weekley Homes’ interiors at Ellis. Inside each home, guests will find floor plans that are innovatively crafted to make sense with the way today’s families live. They will comprise open concepts that add to the impression of spaciousness and foster togetherness, secondary gathering spaces where the kids can feel as though they have a space all their own – whether knocking out homework or playing video games, thoughtfully positioned bedrooms that enhance privacy, well-placed windows to bathe living spaces in natural light and more.

David Weekley Homes will also bring amenities to Ellis, including a pool, clubhouse, pickleball and tennis courts, playground and walking trails. In addition to the existing scenic beauty present at Ellis – which includes an expansive fishing pond, Cornett believes the community’s accessibility makes it highly attractive to homebuyers. Its position near I-75, Dallas Highway and Ernest W. Barrett Parkways provides convenience to a wealth of shopping, dining and entertainment destinations – not to mention the fact that it’s situated within five miles of the boutiques, eateries and events at the iconic Marietta Square. Families with school aged children will be pleased to learn Ellis is located within the highly respected Cobb County Public School District with access to Cheatham Hill Elementary School, Lovinggood Middle School and Hillgrove High School.

To highlight its presence in Ellis to prospective homebuyers who’ve expressed an early interest and registered for the builder’s VIP list, David Weekley Homes will play host to a special Drive-In event at the community on April 9 to showcase several of its available floor plans, amenities, design process and more. Drive-In attendees will be among the first to write a contract on April 30 when the builder opens select home sites for sale.

To learn more about Ellis and sign up to receive exclusive updates on floor plans, available homesites and other community events, prospective homebuyers are invited to visit the community page at www.DavidWeekleyHomes.com or contact the builder’s Internet Advisor at 470-823-7732.
