Cushman & Wakefield announced that The Lanier Law Firm, a Houston-based company, has renewed its lease and expanded in the Tower 56 office building at 126 East 56th Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues.
The Midtown Manhattan building recently completed a major capital improvement and renovation program, which features a new lobby and elevators, designed by award winning architect Moed de Armas & Shannon.
Lanier has renewed its lease for the entire 6th and 7th floors, which accounts for 12,147 s/f, and will expand on the entire 8th floor for an additional 6,076 s/f.
The firm, which has been a tenant in the building since 2004, will now occupy three contiguous floors totaling 18,223 s/f. This marks the second time Lanier has expanded in Tower 56.
Cushman & Wakefield, led by Harry F. Blair and Sean Kearns, are exclusive leasing agents on the building and represented the owner, Pearlmark Real Estate Partners in the transaction. Silvio Petrillo, Ben Friedland and Sam Seiler of CBRE represented the tenant.

“The building continues to retain top-quality tenants such as Lanier and attract new tenants that are in search of high-quality space with a Plaza District address.”
Tower 56, 185,000 s/f building in the Plaza District, provides turnkey solutions for smaller firms and continues to draw interest from the financial services tenants.
