Consolo to lease Theater House retail on East 34th Street

Faith Hope Consolo at Douglas Elliman has been tapped to lease the retail space at 237 East 34th Street at the Theater House between Second and Third Avenue.

“The new wave of residential projects such as the Theater House has precipitated a buzz in Murray Hill. The area is poised to continue to grow on the back of rising demand for additional services,” said Consolo, noting how the area — bound by East 34th Street to East 42nd Street and Madison Avenue to the East River — has seen several sleek new buildings recently open.

Condo sales launched at newly completely The Lindley this past summer; the rental towers known as the American Copper Buildings and the skybridge connecting them, have made an indelible print on the city; and, rising to 22 stories on 34th street is the completed luxury contemporary tower known as the Theater House.

The area is within the First Avenue Medical and Life Sciences Corridor home to medical institutions including the NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center, and The Alexandria Center for Life Science.

Close to the 6-subway line and steps from the crosstown M34 bus, 237 East 34th Street attracts significant foot traffic, according to Consolo.

Featuring 50 feet of frontage, 6,000 s/f on the ground and 2,000 s/f on the basement level, the retail space is divisible and is available for immediate possession.
