Citi Habitats, a division of The Corcoran Group, has acquired the New York City operations of Miron Properties.
Led by its founder and CEO Jeffrey Schleider, Miron opened in 2009 and has grown to four offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn with more than 100 affiliated agents.
The company will now operate under the banner of Citi Habitats.
Miron’s two Brooklyn locations at 982 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, and 1055 Bedford Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant will be rebranded as Citi Habitats offices.
The brokerage’s dual Union Square storefronts (84 and 90 East 10th Street) are planning to merge into Citi Habitats’ existing Manhattan locations, which will welcome the Manhattan agents from Miron.
Schleider will assume the role of senior vice president of business development for Citi Habitats.
He will focus on the combined firm’s Brooklyn brokerage operations and be responsible for expanding Citi Habitats’ market presence in the borough.
“Our company has firmly planted roots in Brooklyn, and with this most recent acquisition we continue to grow in this important market,” said Gary Malin, president of Citi Habitats.
With this acquisition, Citi Habitats is now home to approximately 900 affiliated agents and personnel, and has nine brokerage offices in the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
