Circle F Capital has filed plans to build an 11-story residential and commercial building near MoMA PS1 in Long Island City.
According to a permit application filed with the Department of Buildings, the property, located at 22-43 Jackson Avenue, will be redeveloped into a 74,805 s/f mixed-use building. The plan calls for 64,056 s/f of residential space and 11,725 s/f of commercial space. The proposed structure will replace a one-story building with 6,400 s/f of space.
Circle F bought the property in April of last year for $25 million, according to a previous report from the Real Deal. At the time of the purchase, the building was being used as the local headquarters of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Circle F, a family-owned firm led by Gary Feldman, has a portfolio that includes Manhattan properties such as 934 Madison Avenue, 200 East 16th Street and 201 West 125th Street. 22-43 Jackson Avenue is the company’s first property in Queens, according to Circle F’s website. SRA Architecture + Engineering will design the building.
