Hip and happening bakery, Baked — a fave of stars like Zooey Dechanel and Padma Lakshmi — is set to open its first Manhattan outpost.
James Famularo, Ravi Idnani and Jeff Geoghegan at NYCRS completed the lease assignment for a 4,000 s/f former restaurant space at 279 Church Street. Alex Torboff at BCD represented the tenant.
Baked currently has a location in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where founders Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito have built a bakery dream into a successul neighborhood business.
“This area is emerging as one of Manhattan’s exciting restaurant neighborhoods,” said Idnani, noting that the asking rent was $20,000 per month. “Its surrounded by an array of great restaurants like Macao, Los Americanos, Kori, Corton, Canvas and Churrascario.”
