London-based Phaidon International, a global staffing group, will soon relocate its New York offices to Charles S. Cohen’s 622 Third Avenue, at 41st Street.
The company has signed an 11-year, 15,500 s/f lease comprising a portion of the 6th floor at the 39-story, one million square-foot tower located in the Grand Central district.
Phaidon, which is currently located at 140 East 45th Street, expects to move into its new offices during the second quarter of this year.
According to Mr. Cohen, who transformed the former Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield Building into a Class A office tower now known as Grand Central Plaza after acquiring the property in the late 1990s, 622 Third Avenue is now over 90 percent leased.
Marc Horowitz, Senior Vice President and National Director of Office Leasing for Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation, along with a Colliers International leasing team of David Glassman, Robert Tunis, Joseph Cabrera and Eric Ferrielllo represented the building’s ownership in the long-term leasing transaction.
Stan Weil of Colliers represented the tenant. Asking rent was $59 per square-foot.
