Another modular building added to New Roc mix

Rendering of The Huguenot in New Rochelle

CAC Realty Group is set to break ground on a six-story modular multi-family residential building in New Rochelle.

Designed by the Brooklyn-based firm Doban Architecture, the 54,000 s/f 60-unit building is the latest in a series of modular multi-family buildings to be constructed in New Rochelle within the downtown overlay zone, and the fourth new building designed by Doban in the downtown.

Known as The Huguenot, the new building will sit at the site formerly used as a vehicle rental agency with two smaller residential buildings.

CAC Realty Group president Frank Chechile commented, “We’re very excited about

this project. The Huguenot will offer many benefits to the community, including a citysponsored art gallery, in addition to the lifestyle amenities it offers its residents.”

The unit mix in the wood-framed modular building is varied, with a range of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, some with terraces.

The dog-friendly building will have a dog-washing facility and a roof-top dog run, fitness center, common spaces and automated parking.

An art gallery — one of the two ground-floor retail spaces — will be located on the ground floor.
