Anbang taps Cushman & Wakefield to lease 717 Fifth Avenue

Cushman & Wakefield announced that it has been named exclusive leasing agent for Anbang Insurance Group’s 717 Fifth Avenue, a 26-story Class A trophy tower located between 55th and 56th Streets, in the Plaza District.

A Cushman & Wakefield team led by Fred Smith, vice chairman, will immediately begin marketing 138,361 s/f of available office space across four floors in the base and two in the tower of the building.

717 Fifth Avenue was acquired by Anbang Insurance Group in February of 2015 for $415 million.

The building offers tenants full and partial floor opportunities, with boutique style pre-built and build-to-suit options.

Amenities include a 24/7 security desk, dual lobby entrances of 55th and 56th Streets, a three-story glass atrium lobby and newly designed Moed de Armas & Shannon lobby.

“Cushman & Wakefield will showcase 717 Fifth Avenue for the building it truly is, a world-class destination located in the heart of one of the most sophisticated office markets in New York City,ˮ said Smith.

“Our team was chosen because it shared ownership’s vision for how to best position and reposition the large block of space located in the building’s base, and two tower floors.

“A comprehensive marketing campaign will commence immediately, and we anticipate generating a robust amount of interest for the available spaces, highlighted by the large block of available space in the base of the building,”

A Cushman & Wakefield team will include James Frederick, vice chairman; and Elisa Larson, associate director of office brokerage, along with members of the firm’s Strategic Agency Services group: Jonathan Fales, senior managing director; Myles Fennon, managing director and Pierce Hance, senior associate.
