The Albanese Organization teamed up with BMW for a program aimed at educating people about the most progressive, sustainable technology and practices available.
The event was held at the Solaire, the first LEED-Certified residential building in the U.S., which was developed by the Albanese Organization in Battery Park City.
BMW brought several models of the new BMW i3 and i8 to the eco-friendly building. The i3 and i8 vehicles are the newest addition to the BMW i concept, which involves sustainable mobility with electric vehicles.
At the Solaire event, visitors were able to test drive the emission-free i3 and the i8 sports car. For every test drive, BMW also pledged to donate $12 to a NYC food bank. More than $700 dollars was raised.
