REBNY members filled the Mendik Center on Friday, April 25 for tips from the pros at the monthly Rental Clinic seminar series.
The session covered “Rentals For Sales Agents (Who Don’t Usually Do Sales)” and “Ten Things Agents Should Do Daily To Build Their Business,” and was led by REBNY members Luciane Serifovic of Douglas Elliman Real Estate and Jeffrey Schleider of Miron Properties.
After Daniel Marrello of Town Fifth Avenue and co-chair of the Rental Committee made the welcoming address, Schleider, focused his presentation on ways that agents can get ahead of the game and stay there.
“The very first thing you have to do is wake up,” said Schleider. “Some people come into the office around 10:30 or 11 in the morning, but our best people are the ones who are there at nine.
“Even if there’s nothing for you to do, you have to make it your job to find something to do.”
Serifovic highlighted the differences between selling to a renter as opposed to a buyer, specifically the speed of the process, which she believes is the biggest factor to new salespeople.
