WSP, the international engineering and environmental consulting firm, has integrated the Washington, D.C. office of Halsall, the Toronto-based building enclosure specialist group from Parsons Brinkerhoff, into WSP’s Buildings practice in the United States.
David Cooper, the USA region’s chief commercial officer and president of the Buildings practice, made the announcement.
WSP’s acquisition of Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2014 included Halsall.
“We seek to provide our clients with a full complement of services that best support the creation and development of distinguished and sustainable buildings,” said Cooper.
“Combining Halsall’s expertise in building enclosures with Built Ecology (our high performance design practice), and with our architectural lighting capabilities, enhances our ability to provide a holistic building science approach to the engineering, design and strategic advice we provide to our clients.”
“As we grow our presence in the United States, we are focused on delivering an increasingly robust service offering to our clients,” added Steve Burrows, executive vice president and director of WSP’s U.S. Buildings practice. “Halsall’s integration adds new expertise in a key area of building design.”
WSP, through its acquisition of Parsons Brinckerhoff, is one of the world’s leading professional services firms, working with governments, businesses, architects and planners, and providing integrated solutions across many disciplines.
