Integrated Business Systems (IBS) of Totowa has joined forces with Acumatica, a provider of cloud-based accounting software, as both a reseller and development partner for a new, property management-specific system module.
According to Michael Mullin, IBS president, the strategic affiliation enables his firm to offer Acumatica’s general accounting system to small and mid-size businesses across a range of industries.
It also opens an integration path to generate new solutions within the IBS enterprise property management and accounting system.
The IBS software – developed over 36 years – today is used by more than 75 prominent tri-state area commercial and residential real estate owners and operators.
“The Acumatica accounting system is a secure, browser-based solution that is easy to use and built on tools that take full advantage of the cloud environment,” Mullin said.
“The software and technology are second to none. As a reseller, we will diversify our enterprise accounting reach beyond commercial real estate. And as a commercial real estate specialist we will create an attractive upgrade path for our current customers, and a technologically advanced solution for new clients.
“Additionally, the IBS add-on product will enable Acumatica to meet the needs of the property management industry through its other reseller partners, which will extend the presence of IBS on a national scale.”
The IBS property management module is being designed using Acumatica’s Cloud xRP development platform.
“In essence, we are building the IBS product into Acumatica’s core system,” Mullin explained. “This will allow our clients to leverage the cloud as it is meant to be leveraged now and in the future. These are the tools that will drive technology for years to come.”
Acumatica’s Christian Lindberg, vice president of partner solutions, agreed. “By combining IBS’s expertise in the property management space with Acumatica’s Cloud xRP technology, IBS will deliver a modern cloud solution that will serve more customer needs in an increasingly mobile and interconnected world,” he said.
