William Raveis celebrates first year in the Big Apple

The William Raveis brokerage celebrated its first anniversary in New York City with a cocktail event for friends and neighbors.

Founder Bill Raveis greeted guests at the company’s midtown office in Tower 56 and regaled them with tales of a legendary career turning a one-man-show into a firm that last year sold more than $8 billion worth of real estate.

Since opening with office last June with New York real estate veterans Kathy Braddock and Paul Purcell at the helm, William Raveis NYC has grown to 27 agents.

“We are building our office based on a plan and philosophy,” said Braddock, managing director of William Raveis New York. “Paul and I are see ourselves as business coaches, business builders, and we want the agents that we bring on to realize that they are their own brand.

“We coach them. We look at each agent and figure out their strengths and weaknesses. Create a business plan for them, pay for direct mail pieces as well as internet marketing, and of course all the great referrals that come in from the  120 other Raveis offices.”

Braddock added, “We only want people that believe in what we are doing. Remember, we are a very hands on boutique that is part of the 120 Raveis offices made up of 3,800 agents in the Northeast.”
