Andy Paluri has been named New Jersey Area Manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering, and program/construction management organization.
In his new position, Mr. Paluri will manage Parsons Brinckerhoff’s operations throughout New Jersey. He will work in the firm’s Lawrenceville and Newark offices. A Parsons Brinckerhoff Vice President, Mr. Paluri previously served as the firm’s Northeast Region Planning/Environmental/Traffic Manager.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2011, Mr. Paluri was Vice President of a major infrastructure planning, environmental, design, and program management firm. He has over 27 years of experience working in traffic engineering, transportation planning, environmental studies, and highway design projects related to bridges, corridors, local streets, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, parking, transit, toll plazas, ports, and airports.
Mr. Paluri holds an M.S. degree in transportation systems engineering from Clarkson University and a B.E. in civil engineering from Andhra University in India. He is a past-president and executive board member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Intelligent Transportation Society of America, and North American Traffic Monitoring Council.
A resident of Monroe, New Jersey, Mr. Paluri is active in civic affairs and is a member of the New Jersey Alliance for Action, Middlesex County Transportation Coordination Council, and Monroe Township Planning Board.

Hoffmann Architects, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, announces the promotion of members of the technical staff.
Kara Shypula, Assoc. AIA has been promoted from Project Representative to Project Coordinator. As a part of project teams in the firm’s New York office, Shypula is responsible for conducting condition assessments, preparing drawings and specifications, and providing project management services for building envelope rehabilitation, including roof repairs and replacement, facade restoration, and plaza/terrace waterproofing. Marcos Maldonado has been promoted to Project Coordinator. Formerly a Project Representative with the firm, Maldonado provides building condition assessments, develops design details, and prepares contract documents for building envelope projects in the greater New York area, including work for Citigroup, Stony Brook University Medical Center, and Columbia University.
Maldonado holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Architecture degree from Syracuse University. He lives in New York.

Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering firm, announced that Robert L. Rodin, AIA, has joined the firm as a vice president in its Property Loss Consulting practice. He has more than 30 years of architectural experience in the design of commercial and residential buildings, and forensic and failure analysis.
In his new role at Thornton Tomasetti, Rodin will work within the firm’s Property Loss Consulting as well as Building Performance-Renewal practices on building investigations, design of remedial and replacement assemblies and litigation support for related projects. He will be based in the firm’s New York office.

Rodin specializes in the rehabilitation, retrofit, adaptive re-use and expansion of existing buildings. He has extensive experience in the preservation of historic structures and investigation of building envelope failures.
He provides expert support to attorneys and other parties in design and construction dispute resolution.
Most recently, Rodin was a senior technical consultant at Gordon H. Smith Corporation, where he was involved in all aspects of building envelope projects, including curtain walls, window walls, exterior cladding and roofing and waterproofing.
Rodin is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Institute of Building Sciences.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., and completed a year of study at The Polytechnic of Central London in the United Kingdom.

Huntsman Architectural Group, a nationally recognized architectural and design firm, has named Sascha Wagner as president and CEO effective April 24, 2014. Wagner will be responsible for developing strategy, partnerships, and new business opportunities in the company’s San Francisco and New York offices.
Since joining Huntsman in 2004, Wagner has spearheaded projects for many of the firm’s portfolio clients, including Pixar, Google, Dolby Laboratories, Moody’s Analytics, and Lucasfilm. Wagner has also recently been named to the firm’s board of directors.
The firm’s founder, Daniel Huntsman, will continue as chairman. Wagner brings 18 years of interior design and project management expertise to the role, along with a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, and academic clients. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Toronto and a B.F.A. in Interior Design from Ringling College of Art and Design.
