Things perk up on Second Avenue

New Street Realty Advisors announced the lease transaction between Ogrin Associates, LLC the owners of 1867 Second Avenue on the Upper East Side and Perk Kafe.

The approximate 1,000 s/f ground floor space is situated on the west side of Second Avenue between East 96th Street and East 97thStreet.

Perk Kafe will take possession of the space immediately and anticipates opening this summer.

Perk Kafe opened its first location two years ago in Murray Hill at 162 East 37th Street.

Having gained quick popularity and success by serving up the meanest brews crafted from scratch with uber-trendy roasts from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, the proprietors decided to expand the concept to the Upper East Side.

Perk was attracted to this location as it not only has dense residential surrounding the site, it is also across the street from Metropolitan Hospital as well as adjacent to what will be a new Second Avenue subway entrance at East 96th Street and Second Avenue.

Matthew Gorman, Joshua Kaufman, Joshua Gettler of New Street Realty Advisors, acted on behalf of Ogrin Associates and dealt with the tenant directly in negotiations.
