SteetEasy launches new 3D listings

StreetEasy has unveiled new interactive 3-D floor plans for select listings.

The 3-D  plans are available for  select for-sale listings on desktop and mobile Web.

The system was built on Floored’s core platform technology and customized for StreetEasy to provide a 360-degree perspective of a home’s  layout, and giving viewers the ability to shift the floor plan angle using their device’s mouse or touchscreen.

“Floor plans are a critical part of the New York City home shopping experience; more so than in the rest of the country. That’s why over half of StreetEasy for-sale listings have a floor plan. It’s important to know the proportions of bedrooms, where the kitchen is located and imagine how you can flow from one room to the next. Only a floor plan can give you this vantage point,” said Susan Daimler, general manager of StreetEasy.

“Adding 3-D floor plans to some of our most-viewed listings makes them even more valuable for shoppers. It’s empowering buyers with a better way to envision their new home.”

Unlike other 3-D technology currently available to the real estate industry, Floored’s software does not require any special camera equipment, on-site visits, or lengthy amount of time to process.

“Creating a 3-D model has long been a challenging and time-consuming process requiring real estate agents to take an extra trip to the listing and often requiring special hardware,” said Floored founder and CEO, David Eisenberg. “The Floored software that now powers StreetEasy’s 3-D floor plans reimagined how this process should work and now converts 2-D to 3-D models in a fraction of the time. We were excited to bring this technology to StreetEasy first.”
