REBNY to honor Ron Lo Russo for accomplishments in real estate

Tonight (Thursday) at the 122nd Annual REBNY Banquet at the New York Hilton Midtown, we will honor Ron Lo Russo with The Young Real Estate Professional of the Year Award.

The recipient is chosen by the Young Men and Women’s Real Estate Association of New York and presented to a member who exemplifies strong integrity, professionalism, and personal ethics.

Ron is president of Cushman and Wakefield’s Agency Consultancy group, which provides process-driven analyses to portfolio planning by aligning real estate platforms with operational, workforce, financial, and risk objectives to drive informed decision making. Ron’s creation and execution of new leasing campaign strategies, driven by extensive leadership experience at Cushman and his overall background in agency leasing, has helped Cushman find new business opportunities.

A fine example of Ron’s leadership is his launch and development of the Professional Real Estate Development Program (PREP), which is a regional training and rotational program for aspiring commercial real estate professionals. Training programs such as this allow for young men and women to thrive when they begin their careers, and that means our industry can thrive for decades to come. This is just but one example of his leadership and strategic thinking.

Prior to this role, Ron had previously served as the President of the Tri-State Region. In that position, he oversaw all facets of operations and performance of the 15 regional offices throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. And prior to joining Cushman, Ron oversaw over 6.5 million square feet of commercial real estate transactions.

RON LO RUSSO

Ron has an extensive philanthropic background, serving on the Board of both the Boy Scouts of New York and Tomorrow’s Hope, which is a foundation dedicated to ensuring quality Catholic elementary schools on Long Island. Taken with his professional innovations, it is clear that Ron keeps the interests of tomorrow’s generation close to heart and works tirelessly to ensure that young folks across New York have a chance to succeed.

As if that is not enough, he has raised tens of thousands of dollars for cancer research and additionally is a member of the Partnership for New York City and Urban Land Institute.

Clearly, Ron is the embodiment of the Young Real Estate Professional of the Year Award. It is with great pride that we bestow this honor upon him, and we look forward to working alongside him in the years to come.
