Queens co-op sees $24M refinancing

Warshaw Burstein represented Queens co-op board Dara Owners Corp., in a $24 million refinancing.
Community Bank is the lender on the refinancing.

Harvey Krasner, chair of the firm’s real estate practice, was the lead attorney.

The 535-unit co-op is located in the Kew Gardens section of Queens.

The deal is the latest in a series of real estate closings by Warshaw Burstein.

The firm acted for joint venture partner Whitestone in connection with fresh financing for the Orlando, FL, Hyatt House Hotel.

Warshaw Burstein also closed the sale of a commercial building on Queens Blvd. in Queens and represented a developer in using historic tax credits to turn a Bronx building into a facility for homeless HIV patients.
