PropertyShark celebrates 15th anniversary with Midtown party

The real estate data company PropertyShark has been in business for a decade and a half, which is quite the tenure in the .com world.

To celebrate its longevity and the loyalty of its client base, the company hosted a 15th anniversary user appreciation event at The Copacabana in Midtown.

More than 100 attendees came through the event and enjoyed music, dancing, food and beverages. The site’s founder, Matthew Haines even addressed the crowd and shared his gratitude for their support.

Haines launched the site in 2003 to inform his neighbors and potential buyers about vital property information in Harlem, where he had recently purchased a brownstone townhouse. The site grew in popularity and in scope, eventually expanding to all of New York City, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as other markets around the world.

The platform was purchased by Yardi Matrix in 2010.
