UJA-Federation of New York honored Micah Goodman, a managing director with Benefit Street Partners, at its annual Real Estate Executives (REX) Gala on March 14, 2018. More than 400 guests, who attended the event at The Pierre, raised over $500,000, a record-breaking amount for this event.
Brian S. Lichter of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP presented Goodman with the Larry A. Silverstein REX Award, which was created to honor Silverstein’s legendary professional and philanthropic achievements. The award also recognizes an exceptional young real estate professional who emulates Silverstein’s commitment to the real estate community and to improving the lives of others.
Attending the event to honor their colleague were REX Gala chairs Joshua Arcus of Siderow Residential Group and Jonathan More of Mission Capital Advisors, LLC; REX division chair Michael Vickers of Vickers Realty, Ltd. and vice chair Laura B. Greenfield of People’s United Bank; and UJA-Federation’s Real Estate Division chair Jonathan M. Estreich of Estreich & Company Inc and immediate past chair Richard Mack of Mack Real Estate Group.
REX attracts young leaders from real estate, design and construction, hospitality, and allied trades industries, including developers, owners, financiers, attorneys, hoteliers, architects, and investment strategists, who come together to help people in need, build strong relationships with colleagues in the field, and explore issues that delve beyond the New York real estate community.
