The Subcontractors Trade Association (STA) recently honored Frederick Elghanayan, president and co-founder of TF Cornerstone, a New York City real estate development firm, for his impact on the New York real estate market and commitment to excellence and integrity in construction. Elghanayan, a 40-year industry veteran, received the STA’s 2012 Silver Shovel Award during the association’s 43rd annual Construction Awards Dinner and Casino Night May 12 at Russo’s on the Bay.
Also the 1997 recipient, Elghanayan is the only individual to be honored with the Silver Shovel Award twice.
“It is with great pleasure that I accept this year’s Silver Shovel Award,” said Frederick Elghanayan. “At TF Cornerstone, we strive for excellence every step of the way, and this honor is a direct reflection of our company’s commitment to exceeding industry standards for design, construction, environmental consideration, quality and innovation.”
As the president of TF Cornerstone, Elghanayan is actively involved in the acquisition, development, construction and management of the company’s fine residential, commercial and retail portfolio, overseeing more than eight million square feet of commercial and residential properties throughout New York City and Washington, D.C.
Elghanayan’s fingerprint is on residential buildings like 95 Horatio Street, 2 Gold and Chelsea Centro, along with Carnegie Hall Tower, one of the most prestigious office buildings in New York City.
“I would like to thank the Subcontractors Trade Association on behalf of the entire TF Cornerstone team,” said Elghanayan. “Our company is thriving, and that wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of this great group of subcontractors.”
