Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail has been selected by The New School to handle the marketing and leasing of the retail at the base of its new University Center at 65 Fifth Avenue, an iconic design by renowned architects Skidmore Owings Merrill.
The building is located at the corner of 14th Street and Fifth Avenue and will function as the hub of The New School campus featuring classrooms, design studios, laboratories, a student residence and an event space.
The retail space spans 8,500 s/f on the ground floor with 15-foot ceilings and 170 feet of wraparound frontage at one of the city’s best corners.
Jeffrey D. Roseman, executive vice president, and Jason Maurer, managing director, of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail, will oversee the leasing of the retail space on behalf of The New School.
“In addition to the incredible design of this building, the site is perfectly situated in the middle of Union Square, Flatiron and Greenwich Village, and will offer a retailer 24/7 traffic from the strong residential, student and tourist base in the area,” said Roseman.
