American Development Group, LLC (ADG) has announced that Mozarts and Einsteins, a pre-school of integrated arts and academics, has signed a new 10-year lease for 6,200 s/f of ground floor retail space at Park Union, the conversion of a historic, pre-war building into a luxury condominium development in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Steve Sunderland of Optimal Spaces served as the tenant’s broker for this transaction. The developer represented itself in the lease deal.
Mozarts and Einsteins is a preschool with an emphasis on the arts for children ages two to six years old. The preschool offers a curriculum of music; dance disciplines including tap, jazz and ballet; reading and writing; math, science and computers; and Spanish. Mozarts and Einsteins will begin accepting applications in February 2013 for a scheduled opening in summer 2013.
“We are very excited to be opening our pre-school in the heart of Park Slope and in such a beautiful, historic building,” said Melody Stevens, founder of Mozarts and Einsteins, as well as two music schools in New Jersey serving students from three months through retirement. “We are looking forward to the opportunity to serve the community and believe our programming and curriculum will appeal to local families.”
Located at 910 Union Street between 8th Avenue and Grand Army Plaza, Park Union was originally built in 1914 and has been meticulously transformed into 15 condominium residences. The seven-story development is comprised of two one-bedroom, two two-bedroom and 11 three-bedroom homes, most of which have outdoor space and breathtaking views of Grand Army Plaza.
The remaining residences at Park Union (www.ParkUnionPS.com) range in size from 735 to 1,905 square feet, and have been initially priced from $799,000 to $2,295,000.
“We are very pleased to sign a lease with Mozarts and Einsteins,” said Perry Finkelman, CEO of ADG. “Park Union is located in the highly regarded 321 school district and the preschool will provide a much-needed specialized and creative option for parents and growing families in the community.”
Park Union is adjacent to historic Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Library, and close to the B, Q, 2, 3 and 4 trains.
