Veteran lawmaker, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney is set to keynote the 5th annual Real Estate Weekly Womenʼs Forum being held in May.
Maloney has been at the forefront of keeping New York City priorities on the Capitol Hill agenda for over 20 years, succeeding in passing over 60 bills.

A former teacher, she served on the New York City Council before being elected Congresswoman in 1992.
The first Council member to give birth while in office, she was also the first to offer a comprehensive package of legislation to make day care more available and affordable.
This year, Real Estate Weekly has partnered with EisnerAmper to present a morning of debate and insight from some of the real estate industry’s most accomplished female leaders.
Since its inception in 2011, the Women’s Forum has grown from a gathering designed to offer support and guidance to female real estate executives to a powerful platform to showcase their success.
Congresswoman Maloney will open the event with an address that highlights the vital work that is being done to develop a modern infrastructure that will allow New York to maintain its position among the world’s key global gateways.
Over 400 attendees, both male and female, will hear from innovators and trailblazers who, among them, have been responsible for shaping today’s real estate landscape.
They include Toby Moskowits, the entrepreneurial head of Heritage Equities who is currently developing one of the first new office buildings to be constructed in Brooklyn in decades; Laura Pomerantz, the head of strategic accounts at one of the world’s biggest commercial real estate firms; The first female president of Colliers International, Cynthia Foster; and Alisa Mall, the director of investments at a $2 billion corporation.
The 5th annual Real Estate Weekly Women’s Forum will be held on May 11, 2016, at the Bar Building, 36 West 44th Street, New York, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. as a celebration of some of the most remarkable women in real estate and their role in shaping how we all work and live today.
