
Veteran broker Laura Pomerantz, formerly a principal and founding partner of PBS Real Estate, has launched Laura Pomerantz Real Estate, the new company announced today.
“Retailers are back in expansion mode, focusing on national and international opportunities as they face saturated conditions on both sides of the pond,” Laura Pomerantz said in a statement. “As the retail landscape continues to evolve and companies re-evaluate their real estate portfolios, we look forward to working closely with our clients to develop both domestic and global real estate strategies that best facilitate growth and defines their brands.”
The new company is based in New York and says it is already working with several prominent national and international companies, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Levi’s, Joe Fresh, Ippolita, Ted Baker London, Gant, Vince Camuto, Hotel Chocolat, Jack Rogers and Scoop, as well as consulting services to the Bal Harbour Shops.
Pomerantz has worked closely with some of the world’s leading companies and retailers, successfully concluding over 8 million s/f of office and retail transactions for clients including Bloomberg L.P., Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, Stuart Weitzman, David Yurman, and Josie Natori, and serving as the exclusive and national representative for Ted Baker/London, Levi Strauss & Company, Mulberry, Timberland, Gant, Ippolita, and Vince Camuto, to name a few. She has represented Abercrombie & Fitch for flagships in the United States and internationally, recently completing deals on their behalf in Milan, Paris, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, London and Madrid.
Prior to establishing PBS, Pomerantz was a senior managing director at Newmark & Company and previously held senior management positions at SL Green. Pomerantz also served as an EVP at The Leslie Fay Companies, Inc., having responsibility for supervising several of its better & designer fashion divisions. She was with Leslie Fay for over 18 years and served on the company’s Board of Directors.
