REW TV made the rounds to ask top real estate executives: what’s hot in retail real estate?
Our panel of experts include some of the biggest names in retail in New York City. This includes Harris Bulow, the senior director of Eastern Consolidated’s retail leasing division; Christopher Conlon, the COO of Acadia Realty Trust; Paul Travis, the managing partner of Washington Square Partners; Jodi Pulice, the founder and CEO of JRT Realty Group and Andrew Mandell, the managing partner of Ripco Real Estate.
“I think, in general, the thing that I see more from landlords is curated retail. People are doing a lot more planning on how concept on a granular level work together in driving traffic and increasing sales and pleasing customers,” Bulow said.
“The best trend in retail right now, for us, is trying to identify and invest in real estate where we can capture the growing trend of pure play e-commerce retailers as they expand in brick and mortar format,” Conlon added.
