NEW YORK, May 19, 2013– Five noteworthy shopping center professionals have received the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Trustee’s Distinguished Service Award.
The award is presented to ICSC members who have made special contributions to the industry and distinguished themselves as leaders within the organization. This year’s recipients are:
Derek Barker, managing director, Haskell, London, United Kingdom; Barbara J. Faucette, SCMD, vice president of mall marketing, CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., Chattanooga, Tenn.; John Gerdes, executive vice president of asset management, L&B Realty Advisors, LLP, Dallas, Texas; Gary A. Glick, partner, Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Walter Kleinschmit, president, R2E Consultants, founder, past president and director, Middle East Council of Shopping Centres, Winnipeg, Canada.
The awards were presented on Sunday, May 19, during the volunteer leadership brunch at RECon, ICSC’s global retail real estate
convention.
“These individuals have vigorously given back to the industry and enhanced the quality of our organization by providing outstanding service programs and by serving as committee chairs, faculty members, speakers and leaders,” said Michael P. Kercheval, president and chief executive officer for ICSC. “We are honored to have them as members,” added Kercheval.
