Work is underway on a new Karl Fischer-designed East Village rental.
The Brody//Amirian Group — which until now has focused on the Brooklyn residential market — is building the ground-up eight-story development at 316 East 3rd Street.
“We are developing a building that speaks to the community, with rents and finishes commensurate with the downtown demographic and that will work for students, artists and local residents,” said Eric Brody, a principal of the team.
“Most importantly, we are bringing new life to an underutilized asset and adding value to the area.”
The 28,000 s/f property will have 33 studio and one-bedroom apartments with finishes and amenities that the developers say with be “oriented to a downtown sensibility and youth-market.”
Brody and David Amirian founded the Brody//Amirian Group last year and have since served as project manager and developer’s representative on multiple residential and mixed-use properties, including 351 Bleecker Street and 50 Lispenard Street in Manhattan; and 1195 Ocean Parkway and 457-467 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Previously, Amirian was the project executive for the Setai Wall Street at 40 Broad Street.
“We focus on projects that can bring the most value to our investors, as well as the neighborhoods in which they are being built,” said Amirian. “ Development is our passion and we have the experience and commitment to do it well.”
