Douglas Heddings, founder and president of The Heddings Property Group LLC has been appointed director of the board of the Manhattan Association of Realtors.
“Doug is a well-respected member of MANAR and a leader in the real estate community, which is why he is an ideal choice to take on this augmented role in our organization,” said Frederick Wohlfarth, 2012 president of MANAR.
“As director of the board, he will be instrumental in growing our membership, increasing our prominence in the Manhattan real estate arena and in creating ethical guidelines for Realtors to follow.
“He will also use all of the latest tools, including social media, to reach out to the brokerage community and to enlighten them on the numerous perks of membership, thereby increasing our enrollment.”
Heddings said he was “a big believer” in the benefits of MANAR for both the consumer as well as the broker. “MANAR, like HPG, holds its members to a superior level of client service, competence and integrity. These are the ideals I founded HPG upon and ones which I believe should be industry standard,” he added.
Heddings has been an active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the New York State Association of Realtors, as well as MANAR, for nearly two years.
With nearly 20 years in the Manhattan residential real estate market and several ranked among the top 1% of real estate brokers nationwide, Heddings was one of the first broker bloggers in Manhattan and a pioneer of the guided video tour.
