Australian entrepreneur Rodney Menzies just purchased a pricey pad on Billionaire’s Row.
Menzies paid $21.6 million for unit 65B at Extell’s One57, according to city records.
The businessman got a hefty discount on the ultra-luxury apartment, which was last listed for $28.3 million. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit has 4,193 s/f.
The 71-year-old Menzies founded Menzies International, a private company, in 1969, and it has become one of Australia’s 500 most profitable companies.
The conglomerate includes the cleaning business Menzies Group, the art auction house Menzies Art Brands, the vineyard Noorilim Estate, and Menzies International Racing Stables.
Corcoran agent Haidee Granger brokered the deal for Menzies.
