
Robert Dankner just closed on the penthouse home of attorney Marc Bern for $11.5 million.
Bern, who now runs the firm Bern Ripka LLP, represented 9/11 responders sickened in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks. Most recently, he has been working to win compensation for those enduring the Flint water crisis.
Dankner, who runs Prime Manhattan Residential, brought the 3,400 s/f, four bedroom at 944 Park Avenue to market in April with an asking price of $11.995 million. Bern bought it for $7.2 million in 2012, according to city records.
The full-floor unit #14 is one of 21 apartments in the full-service luxury boutique building with all the customary Park Avenue perks, including a gym and bike room, concierge and doorman.
The 10-room home itself has direct elevator entry, a grand gallery, built-in wine storage, a family room and maid’s room.
